The National Monuments Service's description

On a NE-facing slope in gently undulating pasture. Farmyard (part of old farmyard, only outbuidings are still in use) lies to NW. Farm lane runs just outside the graveyard boundary wall from NW-N-NE. Public road, located c. 15-20m NE of graveyard, runs NW-SE. The church (TS077-069----) is located on a rise at the S end of an irregular-shaped graveyard (dims. c. 36m N-S; 68m E-W). S wall is straight, other walls curve towards the gate in NW quadrant. There was a graveyard clean-up in 1985 and rubble stone, fragments of headstones and architectural fragments have been used to build up a drystone wall, 2-3 courses high on the line of the original church. Mid to late 18th-century headstones within church, including one dated 1771 which is being displaced by a tree. The earliest headstone noted dates to 1721. Most tombstones are upstanding, two are large flat mid-18th-century tombstones along the NE wall and one table-top tomb at the E angle, 18th or 19th century in date. The graveyard is enclosed by a stone wall. Earth is banked-up against the N section on its internal face. The SE gable of a ruinous building forms part of the NW boundary wall, with a stile at its E angle, which has a curving sandstone fragment, probably a voussoir, inserted in its NE face.
