The National Monuments Service's description

On a NE-facing slope in undulating pasture. River Moyle runs c. 40m NE of monument. Bivallate ringfort (diam. 27.4m N-S; 26.6m E-W) enclosed by a bank (Wth 1.5m crest; 3.5m base; int. H 0.27m; ext. H 1.1m); flat-bottomed fosse (Wth 4.3m; D 0.84m) and outer bank (Wth 1.8m crest; 3.8m base; ext. H 0.87m). High stone content in banks, with stone protruding all along top of outer bank from NE-E-S. Inner bank is best preserved in N and E quadrants. Both banks are denuded in the S quadrant. The outer bank is levelled from S-SW-W. Gap through both banks in NNE, though inner gap (Wth 2.7m) appears to have been broken through. Outer gap is c. 3m wide. No evidence of corresponding causeway. Outer bank reduces in height SE-S and is disturbed in NW sector, though increases in height to N. Outer bank is more substantial than inner bank. Lot of scrub growing around inner bank and partially on outer bank, but interior is clean. Short length of outer face of inner bank in W sector is suffering from cattle erosion.
