The National Monuments Service's description

On crest of broad, flat-topped hill, sloping slightly to E, under pasture, in undulating terrain. Cairn visible on mountain to W, Knockgraffon Motte (TS075-019001-) clearly visible to NW. Enclosure (TS076-032002-) lies 3m SE of this monument. Irregular square enclosure (dims. 24.6m N-S; 24.5m E-W) defined by earthen bank most pronounced in SE quadrant and along S side (Wth 1.35m crest, 3.3m base; int. H 0.55m; ext. H 1.09m). N bank appears to have been flattened, very broad and low (Wth 1.8m crest, 3.8m base; int. H 0.27m; ext. H 0.36m). Bank along W side is largely reduced to scarp (Wth crest 2.1m, 5.6m base; int. H 0.44m; ext. H 1.13m). Though square in appearance the angles are rounded. Some nettles in interior, but mainly thistles. Nettles also around base of exterior of bank. Lot of stone evident in surviving banks, particularly where bank has been slightly denuded due to cattle, at N and S end of E side and E end of S side. Possible entrance along E side, obscured by fallen tree. No visible ext. fosse. Monument visible on aerial photograph (GSI 16-4-1974 S.633/4).
