The National Monuments Service's description

On a natural rise in undulating terrain, ground falling off in every direction. Main Cahir-Cashel section of Cork road located to W. Ringfort almost rectangular in shape (diam. 37.6m N-S; 29.7m E-W) with rounded corners, shape accentuated by internal wire fencing and truncation of banks. It is defined by a bank (Wth 1.5m crest, 4m base; int. H 0.27m; ext. H 0.57m in S sector) which is reduced to scarp in N the sector (H 0.76m). Trees planted along bank on N side and outside bank in E, S and W quad. Farm road runs roughly N-S immediately beyond W bank and trackway immediately N running E-W. Farm buildings to NW and W. Interior under grass which is kept cut. Entrance (Wth 2.4m) in S quadrant. Bank slopes to slightly concave interior. N bank and NW corner external face truncated by trackway, lot of stone visible in clay bank. W face also truncated, stone wall reveting bank, heavily overgrown with ivy. Ringfort indicated as a roughly rectangular area on 1st (1840) ed. OS 6-inch map, enclosed by field boundary and possibly partially truncated by main road along W side. A stone wall runs along base of bank in S quadrant terminated at both SW corner and near SE corner by a gate pier. Farm building located immediately N and S of the ringfort.
