The National Monuments Service's description
According to the Civil Survey (1654-6) in 'Cappagh' there 'stands a Mill on repayred and the River Ahirlagh runns through the same Eastwards' which in 1640 was owned by 'The Countess of Ormond' (Simington 1934, vol. 2, 17). This water mill remains unlocated within this townland.
