The National Monuments Service's description
This stone is currently incorporated into the interior E wall of St Peakaun's church (TS075-023001-). It is described by Okasha and Forsyth (2001, 244-5) as a small slab (H c. 0.3m; Wth c. 0.385m; T c. 0.08m visible) and is 'an irregular rectangular slab missing its bottom left corner. On the lower half of its visible face is incised a linear cross with expanded terminals. Above it is a sinlge complete horizontal line of text. The surface of the slab is 'split-level' due to spalling at an ancient date. The upper area, where the text is incised, is therefore recessed relative to the area with the cross''. It is listed as Toureen Peacaun 10 (ibid.). The stone was uncovered during the 1944 excavation (Duignan 1944, 227; Macalister 1949, 213).
