The National Monuments Service's description

In undulating terrain on the S bank of the Aherlow River, under pasture. The monument has been levelled. It was not marked on the 1st 1840 ed. OS 6-inch map and on the 2nd 1901-05 ed. it is indicated as a curving scarp, only S side is hachured, running SE of Aherlow River with a field boundary forming the NE side. This field boundary has been removed but there is a gentle scarp visible in the SW quadrant. A hillock rises immediately SE of the enclosure and is partially incorporated in it. The enclosure is depicted on an aerial photograph (GSI S.631/2, 16-4-1974) as an angular boundary with hedgerow. It was probably levelled when the field boundary was removed.
