The National Monuments Service's description

On a very gentle S-facing slope, with the River Aherlow c. 60m to S, in low-lying, flat river valley in pasture. Reclaimed land. Field boundary running N-S W of monument, with ringfort (TS075-007----) 80m to the WNW. Circular area (diam. 43.5m N-S; 44.3m E-W), enclosed by an earthen bank (Wth 1.8m crest, 5.7m base; int. H 0.27m; ext. H 1.8m) and fosse (Wth 2.3m; D 0.8m). The interior, which is level, is grass covered with scrub and nettles growing on the bank. In the E quadrant the bank is quite eroded and has been incorporated into the field boundary which runs N-S along the edge of the monument. The bank is quite substantial in the SW quadrant with quite a steep drop to the exterior and a wide, round-bottomed fosse. In the NW quadrant there is a break in the bank (Wth 3.5m) and the fosse is filled in but apparent as a slight shallow depression. There are a lot of burrows in the bank. An entrance in N sector (Wth 2.1m) has been broken through the bank to give machinery access to the interior, where the grass has been cut. The bank material has been pushed into the fosse, forming a slight ramp. In the NE quadrant the fosse is not evident. Immediately SE of the ringfort there is a quarry.
