The National Monuments Service's description

In flat, wet, rushy terrain at the base of a S-facing slope of a rise known locally as 'the Nob', at the base of Slievenamuck. A possible ecclesiastical enclosure only the NE quadrant (dims. 28m N-S; 25m E-W) of which is visible at ground level. It is defined by scarp (Wth 2m; H 0.56m) and an external fosse (Wth 1.7m; D 0.45m). The enclosure is transected by an E-W field boundary. S of the field boundary the field is known as 'The Kill' and according to Weir (1980, 214) bones where dug up here during ploughing. The S portion of this field slopes to the S, possibly indicating the extent of the former enclosure. A bullaun stone (TS074-001----) lies immediately N of the enclosure.
