The National Monuments Service's description

In the Galty mountain range, on a natural ledge on a very steep NNE slope close to summit of Knocknanuss. A drystone shelter (dims. 2.2m NW-SE; 2.6m NE-SW) composed of large sandstone boulders with a large boulder (H 0.6m) at the front entrance (dims. 0.55m x 1.6m). The lintelled roof is slightly corbelled. The interior drops down (H 1.1m), with a sloping floor extending underneath the entrance boulder.
