In pasture, on a NE-facing slope. Oval area (dims. 37m NW-SE; 24m NE-SW) defined by earthen bank (int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.55m; Wth 7m) NW-N, reduced to scarp (Wth 4.5m; H 1.1m) N-NE, bank (Wth 7.6m; int. H 0.55m; ext. H 1.3m) NE-SSE and levelled SSE-NW. Depression cut into bank at SSE. External fosse (basal Wth 1.8m; overall Wth 6.55m; D 0.55m) ENE-SSE. Interior slopes down to NE. Acute angle of field boundary adjoins bank at NNE and ESE, creating a small sub-triangular area within, as per latest edition OS 6-inch map. Loose stones around exterior at SE-SSE may be field clearance.
