The National Monuments Service's description

In hay field, at top of rise with land falling steeply to E and more gently to SSW. Roughly circular area (dims. 49m N-S; 49m E-W) defined by earthen bank (Wth 4.95m; int. H 0.85m; ext. H 1.2m) SSE-S, reduced to scarp (Wth 4.5m; H 1.1m) S-SW; bank (Wth 7.2m; int. H 0.35m; ext. H 1.35m) again SW-NNW. Monument truncated by field boundary N-E-SE. Break in bank (Wth 3.0m) at NNW; second break (Wth ….m) at SSE and third break (Wth ….m) at S. External fosse (Wth 5.2m; D 0.5m) evident SW-S-NNW. Not visible NNW-SSE or SSE-SW as monument truncated by field boundary to E and S. Bank/scarp and fosse are covered for most part by furze, sally trees, thorns, briars and nettles, ferns etc. Interior slopes gently downwards to E. The edges are covered by furze and other bushes with some briars in small confined clumps near centre. Some thorn trees cover the entire northern sector. Many large rocks visible in various places across the monument but mostly within the interior. Large rock (triangular shaped) at W of interior. Field boundary at S of monument post-dates the 1904 edition OS 6-inch map. Stone kerbing along northern arc of exterior of bank is probably a later feature. Enclosure (TS071-014----) located 670m to E.
