The National Monuments Service's description
According to the Civil Survey (1654-6) in 'Saucestown', which was under the proprietorship of ‘Pierce Sauce of Feathard Irish Papist’ in 1640, ‘There is on the s[ai]d lands a thatcht house' (Simington 1931, vol.1, 190). This house is unlocated within the townland.
