The National Monuments Service's description

Within the chancel of Kiltinan church (TS070-101001-), 3.35m E of the E wall of the tower, a badly worn tapering sandstone slab (L 1.19m; Wth at top 0.48m; Wth at base 0.18m; T 0.18m) which tapers towards the base (Maher 1997, 64). Maher describes the decoration as 'a grooved design consisting of three parallel grooves forming a double outlined cross-stem. The head of the slab, if present, is buried beneath ground level. The outer grooves of the cross-stem define an open rectangular area at its base and terminate in simple volutes. Parallel bands in relief occur alongside each volute. A grooved border runs close to the edges of the slab. There is no evidence to suggest that the slab bore an inscription'. A similar graveslab (TS070-101009-) is located 4.5m to the S.
