The National Monuments Service's description

According to the Civil Survey (1654-6) there was ‘a thatcht house’ in ‘Farrenleyny', which in 1640 was under the proprietorship of ‘Theobald Butler of Killoskehane Irish Papist’ (Simington 1934, vol. 2, 231). This house is unlocated within the townland.
