The National Monuments Service's description

According to the Civil Survey (1654-6) in ‘Garryduffe one sixth p[ar]t of a colpe', which was under the proprietorship of ‘Edmond Bourke of Garryduffe Irish Papist’ in 1640, ‘On the s[ai]d lands stands an old decayed mill & a brooke leading eastwards' (Simington 1934, vol. 2, 33). This watermill is unlocated within the townland of Garryduff.
