The National Monuments Service's description
In pasture, on a SE-facing slope. Roughly circular area (diam. c. 15m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4-5.75m; int. H 0.2-0.6m; ext. H 0.6-1m), intervening fosse (Wth 4.55m; D 0.65m) and external bank (Wth 3.35m; int. H 0.65m; ext. H 0.5m) is best preserved SE-WNW and survives intermittently NW-N-NNE where it is poorly preserved. The inner bank is best preserved ENE-S-WNW and is damaged by intermittent cattle breaks WNW-N-ENE and is badly poached. The intervening fosse is best preserved SE-W-N-NNE and is waterlogged. It is poorly defined NNE-E-SE where the external bank has been levelled. The remains of levelled external bank (Wth 3.2m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.15m) are traceable NNE-E-SE. A linear fosse-like feature (Wth 2.7m; D 0.4m) is perpendicular to the intervening bank across SSE-sector and may be a straightened portion of the fosse. A low, sub-triangular mound, partially obscured by gorse is to S and may be a modified portion of an additional outer bank. A short portion of this possible outer bank is visible at NE. Potential arc of fosse and this outer bank is truncated by field boundary (long-axis ENE-WSW) at NW. Interior is not accessible due to impenetrable growth and is only visible around the perimeter.
