The National Monuments Service's description

On a slight N-facing slope in pasture. Identified on aerial photograph (Air Corps V. 263/102-3. 2-9-1959; Bruff 43). A possible barrow (TS066-090003-) is located on the N side of the interior with a second enclosure (TS066-090002-) located immediately to the E. Roughly circular slightly raised area (dims. 20m N-S; 22m E-W) defined by a broad earthen scarp (Wth 2.3m; H 0.3-0.6m) with an external flat-bottomed fosse (Overall Wth 3.6; Wth at base 2m; D 0.1m). The fosse encloses the monument SE-W and is best preserved SE-SW, being very shallow and difficult to discern SW-W. The fosse is not visible at ground level W-NE. The enclosure is separated from enclosure (TS066-090002-) immediately to the E by a wide straight N-S orientated fosse (Overall Wth 6.6m; Wth at base 1.8m; D 0.3m) that appears to have been re-cut as a field drain with slight traces of the drain extending to the N and S of the enclosures. The original entrance is not recognisable. The interior is levelled up to compensate for the underlying natural slope and is clear of overgrowth.
