The National Monuments Service's description

In improved, wet pasture, on a natural curvilinear ridge, overlooking a low-lying level area (possible flood plain) to the N. A ring-barrow (TS066-075001-) is located c. 55m to the ENE. A circular area (dims. 3.6m N-S; 3.3m E-W) defined by a fosse (Wth 1.3-1.4m; D 0.07-0.13m) and outer bank (Wth 2.6m; int. H 0.13m; ext. H 0.1m) in the NW quadrant. A drainage channel running N-S to the immediate E accentuates the higher ground around the E-arc. The interior is grass covered and has a gentle N-facing slope. A deep land drain running ESE-WNW, flanked by a field boundary, is c. 3.5m to the S.
