The National Monuments Service's description

On level ground at the base of a slight NNE-facing slope in pasture. Mound-barrow (TS066-046----) is located 100m to the SE. Square area (dims. 32m NNE-SSW; 32m WNW-ESE) defined by a low earthen scarped edge (Wth 3m; H 0.3m). At the external base of the bank is a broad flat-bottomed fosse (Wth at base 3.5m; D 0.3m) and a low broad external earthen bank (Overall Wth 9.5m; Wth at top 4m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.1m). The external bank is very low and difficult to discern on the SSW side and is absent on the WNW side where a modern roadway abuts the edge of the monument. A poorly defined break (Wth 6m) in the external bank midway along the NNE side, with a slight corresponding dip in the scarped edge, may mark the position of the original entrance. The interior is level and clear of overgrowth.
