The National Monuments Service's description

On top of a broad locally prominent hill, on a slight S-facing slope just to S of summit, in rolling pasture. A mound-barrow (TS066-008002-) is located 40m to the NW and a water reservoir 10m to the NW. Circular raised area (diam. 16m) defined by a narrow earthen bank (overall Wth 5.6-6.2m; Wth 5m; int. H 0.1-0.2m; ext. H 2.15m). At the external base of the bank is a broad flat-bottomed fosse (Wth at base 2m; D 0.2-0.4m) and an external earthen bank (Overall Wth 3-4.5m; Wth at top 1m; int. H 0.1-0.3m; ext. H 0.1m). The internal bank and fosse are well preserved while the external bank has a low irregular profile being difficult to discern at ground level in many areas. A modern E-W orientated farm track lies 2m outside the external base of the external bank at N. A break (Wth 4m) in the internal bank at ESE marks the position of the original entrance with a slight causeway across the fosse and a poorly defined corresponding break in the external bank. The interior is raised to compensate for the underlying natural slope and is level and clear of overgrowth.
