The National Monuments Service's description
On top of a slight rise in gently rolling pasture. Circular raised area (diam. 22m) with the NW half defined by an earthen scarp (Wth 5m; H 2.9m) with an external broad flat-bottomed fosse (overall Wth 5.6m; Wth at base 3.5m; D 0.9m). The scarp SW-NE and is topped with the footings of a drystone wall (Wth 1.5m; H 0.1m) that may or may not be original. From NE-SW the scarped edge and the interior have been levelled. The fosse encloses the monument on all sides and is best preserved SW-NE where it has a consistent broad flat-bottomed profile. The fosse has been almost completely infilled NE-SW and is barely visible at ground level. The original entrance is not recognisable. Mature thorn bushes grow along the scarp with the interior under grass. A roughly circular depression (diam. 6m; D 0.1m) immediately within the footings of the drystone wall at NNW appears to be modern.
