The National Monuments Service's description

In a locally prominent position atop the S end of a broad N-S orientated gently sloping rise, in pasture. Natural ground level slopes down gently from the ringfort NE-W. Identified on Bruff aerial photograph (Bruff No. 2044) by Caimin O'Brien. Originally circular, but now consisting of a roughly D-shaped raised area (dims. 18m N-S; 16m E-W) enclosed by a gently sloping earthen scarp (Wth 3.6m; H 1-1.25m). From SSW-NW the scarp is absent and the edge of the monument is defined by a NNW-ESE orientated field boundary. The original entrance is not recognisable. The interior slopes slightly facing S and is clear of overgrowth. The field is known locally as the 'caher' field.
