The National Monuments Service's description

In an area of marshland, with some reclaimation, on a gentle N-facing slope at the junction of four fields. It is located immediately SE of St. Michael's Church, Mullinahone. A stream flows SE-NW to the SW and there are three springs in the field immediately to the S. A poorly preserved, roughly circular area (diam. 28.20m N-S; 30.50m E-W) enclosed by an earthen bank (Wth 9m at base; int. H 0.8m; ext. H 1m) with a high stone content and fosse (Wth 4m). The bank is best preserved from N-NW and at S and elsewhere is barely discernible. It is sparsely covered with hawthorns and briars. The fosse is only evident from the E-S-W. (Farrelly and FitzPatrick 1993, 125-6).
