The National Monuments Service's description

Lucas (1985, 51) mentions an early 14th-century reference where 'at another court held in Cashel in 1305, a certain Richard was pardoned "as well for being in the company of a felon, as for robbery of 18d. done in the causeway (calcetum) of Moydasschyl", i.e. Modeshill, Co. Tipperary'. This road is unlocated within the townlands of Modeshil.
