The National Monuments Service's description

In improved pasture, on a very gentle E-facing slope. A stream runs c. 5m to E and the area between the monument and the stream is poorly drained. A sub-circular area (dims. c. 42m NW-SE; c. 38m NE-SW) defined by a steep bank (Wth at top 1m; overall Wth 4.4m; int. H 0.75m; ext. H 1.15m) SE-S-W and a lower bank (Wth at top 1m; overall Wth 2.85m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.9m) in the NW and SE quadrants which is reduced to scarp (Wth 1m; H 0.85m) in the E sector, and a fosse (basal Wth 1m; overall Wth 5.7m; D 1.35m) SE-W-NW. The interior is accessible intermittently around the perimeter. A field boundary running north-westward from the NW quadrant has been removed and was possibly used to backfill the fosse in the N quadrant, while another field boundary, runs southward from the SW quadrant.
