At the rear of O'Brien's hostel, which is a converted outbuilding, on Mountjudkin Road, c. 200m NE of Hore Abbey (TS061-024001-) two buttress have been constructed using salvaged stone. The ground level is c. 1m lower adjacent to the outbuilding than the rest of the yard. A limestone jamb (L 0.53m; Wth 0.25; D 0.37m) with a chamfered edge (Wth 0.08m; H 0.4m) with a plain stop, has been built into the most easterly buttress. It lies horiztally 2m above the lower ground level. The stone has punch dressing and a margin delineated by an incised line. The original context for this stone is unknown but it is likely to have come from a building in Cashel.
