The National Monuments Service's description
According to the Civil Survey (1654-6) in 1640 in 'Kylscobene' there was 'a bigg thatcht house' under the proprietorship of 'John Haly of Cashell Civilian Irish Papist' (Simington 1931, vol. 1, 222). This house is unlocated within Kilscobin townland.
