The National Monuments Service's description
In improved pasture, at the SSE-end of a ridge (long-axis NNW-SSE). Moated site to WSW consists of the remains of a sub-rectangular area (dims. 33m NNW-SSE; 32m ENE-WSW) defined by levelled scarp (Wth 6m; H 0.8m) to SSE and curvilinear depression of former field boundary to WSW. Possible remains of a linear scarp of WSW-side beyond same. Monument is levelled to NNW where a trackway now exists and it is levelled off downslope gradually to ENE. Remains are very uneven and lumpy along ENE-side. Interior is uneven and lumpy and there are two irregular depressions off-centre to SSE. Moated site (TS061-098001-) is conjoined to the ENE. Farm trackway (Wth 2.5m) is to immediate NNW. Both moated sites are depicted on the OS 6-inch 1952-54 ed. map as conjoined enclosures, this moated site is defined as a sub-rectangular are (dims. c. 48m ENE-WSW; c. 32m NNW-SSE) to WSW and the conjoined moated site (TS061-098001-) as a small, D-shaped area conjoined to ENE. The pond depicted in the interior of this moated site on the OS 6-inch 1952-54 ed. map has been backfilled. Ringfort (TS061-097----) is c. 100m to NW.
