The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, on top of the S-end of a ridge (long axis NNW-SSE) at a height of 500ft OD. Excellent views in all directions. Oval mound (dims. 38m NNW-SSE; 34m ENE-WSW) defined by scarp (max. Wth 4.15m; H 0.6m) best preserved NE-SE. Possible causeway (Wth 4.5m) at W. Fosse SSW-SE is best preserved (max. overall Wth 7.65m; max basal Wth 2.4m; D 0.15m) NE-SE. Fosse is truncated by curvilinear field boundary SE-SSW, which is within fosse and respecting its curvature. Scant remains of outer bank (overall Wth 5.9m; Wth at top 2m; int. H 0.15m; ext. H 0.25m) SW-WNW. Gentle, oval depression (dims. c. 14m ENE-WSW; c. 12m NNW-SSE) off-centre to SSE which is covered by nettles. Depression is also clearly identifiable on aerial photographs (ASIAP (35) 17-20, 03/08/1996).
