The National Monuments Service's description

An excavation in 1990 to the rear of Nos. 66-72 Main Street, Cashel revealed a series of layers of clay and lenses of charcoal, which were interpreted as possibly representing house floors (Hayden 1991, 51-2). Though no finds were uncovered, the 'floors' were probably of medieval date (ibid.).
