The National Monuments Service's description
During excavations on Friar Street in 2002 the stone foundation remains of a possible medieval building were uncovered, with animal bone, oyster shells and some 13th-14th-century pottery. The nature of the development allowed these features to be preserved in situ (Gregory 2004, 474).
