The National Monuments Service's description
According to the Civil Survey there was a 'House & Bawne at Wind Mill' (Simington 1931, vol. 1, 255). Windmill House was inspected but this is a late 19th century house with a later extension to the rear. Within the yard there is a substantial stone building (ext. dims. 13.38m NW-SE x 9.28m NE-SW) with blocked-up windows and doors and a fireplace in the NW wall. The front wall, which according to the landowner contained a porch, has been levelled. This house appears to be 18th/early 19th in date with no evidence of any earlier structure. Neither the bawn (TS060-088001-) or the 17th-century house could not be identified at this location, the house is unlocated within Windmill townland.
