The National Monuments Service's description
On a very steep NE-facing slope, directly above a large pond, in pasture. An enclosure (TS060-070001-) is c. 160m to SSE.The enclosure faces a villa 'Golden Hills' with a Gothick courtyard attached. A circular area (diam. 13.5m N-S; 13.3m E-W) enclosed by a low, flat-topped bank (Wth at top 1.7m; Wth at base 2.9m; H above int. 0.2m; H above ext. 0.12) with a shallow dip at the base of the bank upslope to the SW which may be the remains of a fosse (Wth 2.2m; D 0.15m), and downslope is defined by scarp (Wth 2m; H 0.7m). The interior slopes steeply NNE with the natural fall of ground.
