The National Monuments Service's description

In a level area of improved, undulating pasture, on top of a low hillock. A raised circular area (dims. 20m NE-SW; 22m NW-SE) which was formerly enclosed by a fosse (Wth c. 4m; D below inner enclosure c. 3.5m) and outer bank (H above ext. c. 1m). The latter was levelled and used to back-fill the fosse in 1995. The monument is currently defined by the remains of a levelled scarp (overall Wth 17.5m; H 2.65m) on the crown of the hillock. The scarp is more gradual (overall Wth 34.5m; H 3.25) from S-NW. A break of slope from NW-NE and S-SW, half way down scarp, may indicate the natural slope of the rise. A cropmark of a possible fosse (Wth 4m) is defined by a dark band of grass at the base of the scarp NW-NNE. The interior is slightly uneven and grass covered. Portion of a rotary quern was found at the enclosure in 1995.
