The National Monuments Service's description
On top of a low natural hillock on wet marshy terrain in undulating countryside with good views in all directions. A raised oval-shaped platform (diam. 53m N-S; 23m E-W) enclosed by a poorly preserved bank (Wth at top 2m; overall Wth 4.3m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1.1m) mainly reduced to a scarp and waterlogged external fosse (Wth 2m; D 0.25m). A gap (Wth 4.1m) in the bank at SSE may be the remains of an entrance feature. In the N quadrant the fosse is cut by a field drain running roughly E-W, while the inner bank is levelled from NE-SE. A ditch barrow (TS059-159----) is c. 28m to the ESE.
