The National Monuments Service's description
The Civil Survey (1654-6) describes the settlement assoicated with the tower house (TS055-065001-) at Lismalin as 'Upon the sd lands stands a good castle with a bawne & twelve cabbins' (Simington 1931, vol. 1, 123). This settlement is not visible at ground level. The precise location and extent of the settlement associated with Lismalin tower house is unknown.
