In 19th-century beech woodland on a NW-facing slope of rising ground with good views to W and N, higher ground to S. Nearby castle possible (TS053-052001-) and seventeenth-century house (TS054-052002-) 200m to NW. Slightly hollow circular area (int. diam. 30m N-S; 28m E-W) enclosed by and earthen bank (top Wth 2m; base Wth 4m; ext. H 1-2m; int. H 0.2-0.5m)and outer fosse (base Wth 4m; top Wth 6m; ext. D 1m) with possible entrance gap (Wth 3m) at N where the bank has been levelled and where the game rearing buildings are located. Gamekeepers single-storey house of 19th-century date immediately to N with three low corrugated buildings for rearing game built around the N quadrant of the ringfort. Ringfort may have been re-used or landscaped in the 19th century when the beech woodland was being planted.
