The National Monuments Service's description

In back garden of Ballykelly House which is 100m to S and appears to be a tree-ring (int. diam. 23m N-S) consisting of a circular area enclosed by an earthen bank with a sharp profile (H 0.8m; H 1m) as depicted as such on first ed. OS 6-inch map. Small summer house built into face of bank of tree ring at S. Associated with the landscaping of Ballykelly House. This was classified in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1997) as an 'Enclosure'. Following field inspection this was found to be a tree-ring of post-1700 date. It has been classified as a 'Tree-ring' but is not included in the current remit of the ASI.
