The National Monuments Service's description

On top of a low rise of ground in undulating countryside with good views in all directions. Poorly preserved ringfort consisting of a raised circular area (int. diam. 36m N-S; 35m E-W) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (top Wth 1.6m; base Wth 4m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 1.2m) mainly reduced to a scarp. S quadrant of interior has been quarried away and the inner bank is intersected by the modern road at W on a N-S axis.
