The National Monuments Service's description

There is a 19th-century two-storey house over basement with no evidence of any building pre-1700 in the area marked on the OS 6-inch map. The Civil Survey (1654-6) describes 'two Thatcht houses & five Cabbins' upon the lands of Clonaspoe (Lisnamoe) and Clonkelly (Simington 1934, vol. 2, 92). The exact location of the pre-1700 thatched house within the townland of the Clonaspoe is unknown.
