The National Monuments Service's description

Within the tower of Ardmayle church (TS052-034005-). A tapering limestone slab (Wth at top 0.3m; Wth at base 0.23m; L 1.03m; T 0.13-0.9m narrowing towards the base). Decorated with an incised four arm fleur-de-lys cross, with a central floral motif, within a double incised circle, a shaft of four incised lines which tapers towards the base. The base consists of a smaller version of the same four arm fleur-de-lys cross, except with a central boss, and within a single incised circle. An incised line runs horzontally across the slab above the base cross on either side of the shaft and another less well-preserved line runs across the slab directly beneath the head cross.
