On flat poorly drained grassland in upland region with good views in all directions. Nearby fulacht fiadh (TS049-063----) 30m to S. Only the N half of the enclosing elements survive of this partially levelled monument which was levelled approx. 25 yrs ago. Moated site originally consisted of a square-shaped area (int. dims. 50m NW-SE; 60m NE-SW ) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (base Wth 3m; top Wth 2m; int. H 1m; ext. H 3m) and wet outer fosse (base Wth 2.5m; top Wth 5m; ext. D 1m) best preserved along the NW side. The bank and outer fosse are now preserved in the enclosing field boundaries on the NW and NE sides with the levelled bank and filled in fosse barely visible on the SE and SW sides.
