The National Monuments Service's description
On a NW-facing slope of rising ground in the Slieveardgah hills with good views from W through N to E and higher ground to S. A stream runs downslope into outer fosse at the NE and encloses the monument from NE through N to W where it exits the fosse and runs downhill. This feature has been noted at other ringforts in the Slieveardagh hills. Monument very overgrown and covered in mature trees and thorn bushes making detailed examination impossible. Only able to examine bank and outer fosse from NE to E elsewhere the ringfort is impenetrable. Monument consists of a raised circular platform (approx. diam. 45m N-S) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (top Wth 1.6m; base Wth 5m; int. H 0.2m ext. H 1-1.5m) and wet outer fosse (base Wth 2m ; top Wth 4m; ext. D 0.4m), possible entrance gap (Wth 5m) at SE. Cattle gap (Wth 1.5m) in bank at NE. No other features visible. Impossible to take diameter measurements due to the thick cover of vegetation on the ringfort.
