The National Monuments Service's description
Just below heather covered hilltop on poorly drained E-facing slope with good extensive views from N through E to S. Ringfort identified on an aerial photograph (GSI 8.4.1974, R. 302/1). It consists of a raised circular area (diam. 35m NW-SE) enclosed by two banks and an intervening waterlogged fosse (Wth 2m; ext. D 0.3m to 0.5m). Internal bank (Wth 2.5m; base wth 5m; int. H 0.2-0.5m; ext. H 1-1.5m) is reduced to scarp in places, while the outer bank (Top wth 1.7m; base wth 4m; ext. H 0.4m) is intersected by a field boundary at W. Possible ramped entrance (Wth 7m) at E where internal bank and fosse are not visible. Traces of field system running off ringfort visible at N, however, dense cover of vegetation made examination impossible.
