The National Monuments Service's description

On top of high ground in upland area with good views in all directions. Nearby standing stone (TS045-002----) to NW. Well-preserved ring-barrow consisting of a low circular flat-topped mound (diam. 10m SW-NE; H 1.35m) enclosed by a waterlogged fosse (Wth 2.9m; ext. D 1.5m) and external bank (top Wth 3m; base Wth 6m; ext. H 1m), the outer face of which has been partially cut into in places. Large limestone slab (L. 2.45m x H 0.68m x Wth 0.5m) protruding from base of waterlogged fosse in S quadrant. Fosse appears to either have been filled in partially or totally from E to SE. May have had an original ramped entrance feature at SE with fosse filling up with peaty soil in SE sector giving the appearance that it has today of a wide earthen ramp leading into the central mound.
