The National Monuments Service's description
On top of heather covered hill in mountainous region with good panoramic views in all directions. Poorly preserved monument partially covered in heather and bog consisting of a low circular rise (diam. N-S 7m; H 0.6m) of heather covered bog with single large recumbent large slab (dims. L 1.9m x H 0.5m x T 0.4m) orientated on a NW-SE axis visible in centre of low mound. This low orthostat is described by DeValera & Ó Nualláin as a possible septal stone of a wedge tomb (De Valera, R. & Ó Nualláin, S, 1982, vol.4, 99). Described by Crawford (1910m 46) as an almost destroyed monument of which "only the dividing stone remains in position; it is 6 feet 9 inches [2m] long, and 1 foot 9 inches [0.48m] high and wide. Three other stones are lying loose, each about 3 feet [0.9m] by 2 feet [0.6m]".
