The National Monuments Service's description
On flat poorly drained pasture with good views in all directions with nearby Slieveardagh hills to SE and a ringfort (TS043-036----) 40m to NE. This monument consists of a D-shaped (straight-sided along SW sector L 23m), slightly raised interior (dims. 30m E-W; 23m N-S) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (top Wth 1.5m; base Wth 4m; int. H 0.3-1.4m; ext. H 1m) and wide flat-bottomed fosse (top Wth 3.5m; base Wth 2m; ext. D 0.3m). There is a modern gap in the bank (Wth 2m) at SW. On the 1st (1840) ed. OS 6-inch map it is depicted as a square-shaped enclosure, the interior of which is planted with trees. The monument is in good condition with several bushes growing around its perimeter and feeding trough within the interior.
