The National Monuments Service's description
On flat pasture with good views in all directions, nearby ringfort (TS043-031----) located 430m to the SE. Circular platform (diam. 33m) with church (TS043-030001-) enclosed by a graveyard wall (TS043-030002-) and outer berm, water-logged fosse (Wth 3m-5.8m; ext. D 0.8m) and well-preserved, wide, flat-topped outer bank (top Wth 5m; base Wth 5m; ext. H 0.6m) not visible at W. Causewayed entrance gap (Wth 1.5m) into graveyard at E. Outer bank and fosse are destroyed at W where there is a large pond like feature. The demesne wall of nearby Kilcooly Abbey is located to the W and NW of the graveyard. The close proximity of Kilcooly demesne may suggest that the graveyard was landscaped by the occupants of Kilcooly Abbey House.
