The National Monuments Service's description

One of six graveslabs (TN047-030009-014) located on S side of cloister of Cistercian abbey (TN047-030001) at Holycross. Number 1 in D. Maher's catalogue of Medieval Grave Slabs of County Tipperary 1200 - 1600 A.D. for Holycross Abbey.
Tapered slab (Overall L 2.02m; Top Wth 0.48m ; Base Wth 0.43m ; T 0.15m) in two portions: the upper portion (L 1.51m; base Wth 0.44m; Top Wth 0.48m; T 0.15m) is the largest and lower portion (L 0.51m; base Wth 0.43m; Top Wth 0.44m; T 0.15m) situated inside the S wall of the Cloister. Poorly preserved slab the surface of which is covered in lichen and heavily worn, decorated with a seven armed segmental cross carved in relief, with simple fleur-de-lis terminals. Thre narrow cross-bands occur at the base of the cross head, surmounting the cross-shaft. The lower portion of the slab bears the lower end of the cross consisting of a shaft which terminates in a pillar base form. All four edges of the slab are rounded. No inscription visible. Current location of grave slab unknown.
